Royal Enfield UK - part of the Watsonian-Squire GroupThe Royal Enfield Bullet has been in continuous production since 1949. In 1955 the British HQ at Redditch established a satellite factory in Madras to help meet demand from the Indian Army. When the UK factory closed in 1970, the Indian plant continued to manufacture the Bullet models. In 1994 Enfield India Ltd was acquired by the large engineering group Eicher, which has since made a considerable investment in manufacturing equipment and techniques. This has culminated in the launch of the acclaimed Electra-X, with it's lean burn engine & disc front brake. Royal Enfield motorcycles have been imported into the UK by Watsonian-Squire since 1999. We are the oldest surviving sidecar manufacturer in the world (founded in 1912) and are located in the Cotswolds, barely 25 miles from the original Redditch factory!
